Return to Practice Nursing – Placements

Return to Practice – Placement Providers

Here at Hanham Secure Health, we know all too well the pressures facing the nursing workforce at a national level, and we are committed to playing our part to get more people into nursing in our local area. We are doing this through a number of approaches, including offering new and existing employees nursing apprenticeships, and working with local colleges and sixth forms to encourage young people to consider nursing/medicine as a career.

We also recognise that there are many people who have previously trained, qualified and worked as nurses, but their registration has since lapsed. There are a multitude of reasons for this, such as career breaks to raise families, change of career, prolonged illness/inability to work etc.

We were thrilled to be invited by the BNSSG Healthier Together team to become a Placement Provider and to participate in a video aimed at individuals who may be considering a return to practice. Returning to practice requires the support and backing of an organisation that is willing to invest in the learning and development of individuals. At HSH, we are passionate about doing just that.

Hear from placement providers from across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, including our very own Jason Cooper, on the return to practice placement opportunities available across the region, in this video:
