The role of primary care in supporting imprisoned women with mental illness
This month’s publication of the British Journal of General Practice (BJGP) includes an editorial that looks at the role of primary care in supporting imprisoned women with mental illness.
We are proud to say that Hanham Secure Health’s very own Dr Emma Mastrocola was one of the contributors to this editorial. Emma, who works as the lead GP at our female prison estate, is immensely passionate about the health, well-being and welfare of the female patients she cares for there. With the health of women in prisons gaining greater recognition, we are thrilled that Emma was able to contribute to this incredibly important subject.
